Jamie Caliri has a well-rounded career in music videos and animation (including work for the opening and closing credits for Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events), and for The Shins, he combined both of his talents in this Edward Gorey-inspired, stop-motion video for the band’s single “The Rifle’s Spiral.” There’s much to like about it, especially if you like androgynous magicians, slightly twisted imagery, and bunny rabbits. Perhaps evil ones. After the jump, watch the making-of video.
