ReBoot, everyone’s favorite totally obscure Canadian experiment in bringing computer animation to Saturday morning kids programming has had something of a rocky history in home video.  VHS tapes were never published in America.  Only the third and fourth seasons made it to DVD, the latter of which was plagued by fps issues that caused slower playback and oddly deep voices.

Well, last week Rainmaker Entertainment announced that they will be collaborating with Shout! Factory to bring the entire series to DVD, starting with a complete collector’s edition.

Under its multi-year agreement with Rainmaker Entertainment, Inc., Shout! Factory will be the exclusive home entertainment distributor with digital rights to the entire action-packed series ReBoot in North America.

The set will be out sometime in 2011.  Reboot was actually something I missed completely in my childhood, much to the dismay of almost everyone I know.  Hopefully now I can actually watch the darn thing.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
