Captain Marvel #2 w: Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas a: Kris Anka p: Marvel Comics Cowritten by the two showrunners of Agent Carter , the new adventures of Carol Danvers feature lots of space-age diplomacy. Captain Marvel is still finding her footing on the new Alpha Flight Space Station. Giant Days #11 w: John Alison a: Max Sarin p: BOOM! Studios Birthdays, cadavers, and medical students. Giant Days is getting real. Also: Giant Days is now an ongoing comic, and we are very excited about that! Mystery Girl #3 w: Paul Tobin a: Alberto Alburquerque p: Dark Horse Comics The telepathic Trine is still on the hunt for a missing mammoth in Siberia; she's now in pursuit by a mysterious hit squad. Vaughan a: Cliff Chiang p: Image Comics We've arrived at the end of Paper Girls ' first story arc! If you haven't yet checked out this awesome, fun, weird, female-led title, now's a great time to pick up the first five issues and get reading! Pretty Deadly #8 w: Kelly Sue DeConnick a: Emma Rios p: Image Comics Pretty Deadly continues to unfold its gorgeous, fantastic Western folk tale, and we’re solidly on board for this. Spider-Man #1 w: Brian Michael Bendis a: Sara Pichelli p: Marvel Comics Miles Morales is now part of the main Marvel Universe, and his story begins in the eight month gap between the end of Secret Wars and the present. How did Miles get to this point? Check out his new Issue #1 and find out! Bonus points if you get the awesome Nas hip-hop variant cover. Toil and Trouble #6 w: Mairghread Scott a: Kelly and Nichole Matthews p: Archaia Comics/BOOM! Studios It's the final issue for Scott's intriguing retelling of Macbeth that pretty much felt like you were reading the heart and soul of Ancient Scotland. Definitely pick this up, and if you haven't read it at all, go ahead and pick up all six issues. The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 3 w: Kieron Gillen a: Jamie McKelvie p: Image Comics The standout issue for volume 3 here is the “Fucking Tara” issue, one of the heaviest issues of WicDiv to date.
