Prince Harry and Meghan plot a UK comeback as Harry reportedly fears being cut off before Prince William’s reign: ‘Time is ticking’

Time is ticking as Harry and Meghan re-enter the Royal Family scene

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are plotting a United Kingdom comeback after reports surfaced that the prince is worried about being cut off from the royal family. Prince William’s reign could begin sooner than expected. And, Page Six’s blockbuster new report says that Harry could be concerned about finances as the couple gets set to return to the royal scene. While King Charles is still on the throne, Harry could see a chance to consolidate some influence by being closer to home. Changes are likely coming to the hierarchy of power.

Prince William is reportedly in-line to succeed the throne when Charless III passes away. If that happens and Harry was still in the United States with his wife, that could kick off some uncomfortable conversations about inheritance and the couple’s place in the new royal family status quo. As royal insider Kinsey Schofield put it, “Harry and Meghan understand the clock is ticking and want to re-establish their position, influence and proximity to the monarchy.”

In effect, the death of a monarch can mean a lot of things. But, in the eyes of this insider, the biggest change for Harry and Meghan Markle would be access to all of the perks that come with being a royal. Despite the press coverage of the couple’s journey to America being all over British tabloids for years, there was still a lot of support in certain respects. Schofield notes, “There is a belief that [William will be much less accommodating.” So, it’s the optimal time to “get a foot back in the door” before things change for good.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Move Back To The United Kingdom

Six years after a bombshell statement of leaving the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be back. This decision follows the media projects that Harry and Meghan pursued in America. Fans of the royals will remember the Netflix documentary series and the massive sit-down with Oprah Winfrey. Royal family members remember those projects. And, the stories from those interviews loom large now. Observers expect Harry to have to mend some fences when it comes to re-entering his family’s court. But, the couple gave a thorough explanation of why they left back in 2020.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen,” the statement read. “It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages.”

“This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity,” the couple continued. “We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.”
