Potential Mass Effect: Andromeda Footage Leaks Online, Proving Nothing Is Safe

Recommended Videos

It’s been pretty quiet on the BioWare front–we were able to watch a small trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda back on N7 Day in November, but aside from that most of the details about the next game in the Mass Effect series have been pretty quiet… until now, that is.

Potential footage from the new game popped up online last night, and while it’s apparently from 2014, meaning that it may not even be an accurate representation of what we can look forward to as far as gameplay is concerned–one has to wonder, judging by the numerous takedown notices on YouTube by Electronic Arts, if it may not be so far off the mark after all.

It’s not a very long clip–only about 30 seconds, but for that brief moment I have two words for you: jet pack. Yup.

The original video was taken down, but can still be viewed via a link on this NeoGAF forum thread. According to the poster, this footage was leaked via a game developer who is currently working on Andromeda.

There’s still about a year to go before Mass Effect: Andromeda‘s release–so I think it might be time to do another playthrough of the first few games in the meantime. What about you all?
