NYC Woman Gives Boyfriend Time to Cool Off After a Fight, Then Comes Home to Lipstick Marks on the Bedside Cup: ‘ The Worst Feeling Ever’
Fed (up with) Ex

Cheating should never be tolerated in a relationship or marriage, yet many people do it to the point that it has become normalized. Even worse, it is sometimes even promoted. For example, movies and shows often depict it as common and give the impression that it just happens rather than something people do intentionally.
Just two days ago, TikTok user @carlylawrence posted a video where she talked about how she found out her ex was cheating on her. She also said that he kept gaslighting her into thinking her doubts were false when they actually weren’t.
@carlylawrence has a crazy story about her cheating ex
As mentioned earlier, two days ago, @carlylawrence uploaded a video to her account where she talked about how her ex-boyfriend cheated on her and also revealed how she found out about it. Before diving into the main story, Carly mentioned that there was a significant age gap between her and her boyfriend and that she had formed a trauma bond with him. She also shared additional details, explaining that her ex’s ex-girlfriend often hung out with Carly’s boyfriend in friend groups, even though she wasn’t really friends with anyone else in the group besides Carly’s ex, which she found strange.
Moving to the main story, Carly explained that once, she and her ex had a huge fight, and he insisted on taking some time off to cool down. Carly was okay with this, and so her ex went out. While he was gone, Carly admits she had a gut feeling he was with someone. But when she tried to ask her ex about it, he dismissed her and made her feel as if she were just imagining things. The next day, when Carly went to her ex’s house, she knew something was wrong. To her shock, she saw a cup next to the bed with lipstick marks on it. She tried to confront her ex, but he manipulated and gaslighted her to the point that she ended up believing she was just making things up, and that maybe even the lipstick marks were hers.
But then, that same night, when she went to work, she ran into her then-boyfriend’s ex, the same one mentioned earlier. As Carly started to ask how she was, the ex instantly apologized and said she didn’t mean to do what she did, without giving any context. Eventually, she revealed that she and Carly’s ex had been together. She also showed her phone with text messages between her and Carly’s ex, where he was basically asking her not to tell Carly about what they did, because she would break up with him.
In case anyone’s wondering what Carly did next, she broke up with her boyfriend. So, yay.

Which countries have the highest infidelity rates?
According to World Population Review, several countries experience relatively high rates of cheating. Thailand ranks at the top of this list, with more than half (51 percent) of married individuals there admitting to having been unfaithful at least once during their marriage.
Infidelity is quite common in Europe as well. In certain contexts, relationships may permit partners to sleep with others outside the marriage. For example, in Denmark, nearly 46 percent of people report engaging in extramarital affairs. Germany and Italy follow closely, with 45 percent of married individuals in each country admitting to infidelity. Belgium, Norway, and France also report rates of 40 percent or higher.
