New York Woman Finds Her Victoria’s Secret Roommate is a Kleptomaniac, Then Discovers Used Tissues Covered in Poo in Her Suitcase

Smelly Suitcase

This story from TikTok user @paretay feels like an original experience, as I’ve never heard anything quite like it. On January 14, 2024, she uploaded a TikTok video recounting her time living with a Victoria’s Secret model when she first moved to New York.

@paretay (Taylor Paré) mentioned that she met this person for the first time when she had just arrived in New York. They hung out a few times, and eventually, she moved into the apartment Taylor was living in, along with several other models. She also said that from the very beginning, she started noticing some things about her that didn’t sit well with her. Taylor’s subsequent narration of the events surrounding her roommate proves that her initial impression of her roommate was indeed correct.

@paretay narrates a story about her former kleptomaniac roommate

As previously mentioned, Taylor Paré uploaded a video to her TikTok account on January 14, 2024, in which she talked about living with a Victoria’s Secret model. She said that she had sensed from the start that something was off with her because she always had a habit of one-upping others and trying to make other girls jealous by flaunting her achievements in modeling, which Taylor notes were quite significant at the time.

Taylor then mentions in her video that over time, she began to notice her roommate was a pathological liar. According to Taylor, her roommate lied about her identity, her origins, mutual friends, recent events in her life, and her childhood. Once Taylor realized this, she distanced herself from her roommate, but then she started noticing things going missing from the apartment, including T-shirts, skincare products, makeup, and prescription pills. Despite these signs, Taylor didn’t take action at first, but everything changed one day.

One day, Taylor’s roommate returned from an event, and Taylor saw she was wearing a shirt she had worn two days earlier. The shirt even had her orange makeup on the neck, which Taylor had applied on the day she wore it. Pouring herself a glass of wine, Taylor decided to confront her and approached her, saying, “Nice shirt,” to which her roommate claimed she got it from a campaign set. Taylor called her out on the lies and pointed out the makeup stains, but, as Taylor phrases in her video, it appears her roommate didn’t care about the accusations and went to a Harper’s Bazaar event soon after.

After she had left, Taylor poured herself another glass of wine and then went into her roommate’s room to look through her belongings while she was away, trying to find out what else she might have been stealing. She found cups, pens, and prescription medicines she had no use for. However, one of the most disgusting things she found was a suitcase filled with all kinds of dirty paraphernalia, including used tissues (some with poo on them) and tampons. Taylor notes that the suitcase smelled terrible, and when she threw it out onto the balcony, the apartment instantly smelled better. Taylor also states that her roommate was kicked out of the apartment the very day the filthy suitcase was discovered.

People are intrigued by @paretay’s TikTok story

@paretay’s story about her Victoria’s Secret model roommate isn’t something you hear every day, so it naturally has everyone hooked. Her video has nearly a million likes and thousands of views, saves, and shares. As for the comments, most people are disgusted by Taylor’s roommate based on what she reveals about her. Many are also eager for more details about the event and are asking Taylor to share them, including the identity of the person she mentions in the video.

User @debwilliams23 wrote, “WHY the biohazard suitcase????” User @eringoround said, “I’m sorry, but why is no one talking about THE SUITCASE.” User @iggy_crane stated, “Drop the name. Every story like this is always so infuriating because no one calls them out!” User @ flapjack_thedog remarked, “Can you please have another glass of wine and tell us who it is!!”

Some kleptomania facts

According to an article published by The Recovery Village Drug and Alcohol Rehab, as of 2004, it is estimated that 6 out of 1000 people in the United States have kleptomania. This means that approximately 0.6% of the population, or around 1.2 million people, have this condition. Here are some fun or maybe not-so-fun facts about kleptomania:

  • Women are significantly more likely to experience kleptomania than men, with approximately 63% of affected individuals being female.
  • Kleptomania typically begins to show symptoms in late teens or early adulthood, with the average onset at 17 years old. However, the age of onset varies widely. Cases have been reported in children as young as 5, while some individuals only noticed symptoms at age 55.
  • Approximately one-third of individuals with kleptomania report experiencing symptoms during childhood, while the majority start showing signs in late adolescence.
