Megyn Kelly: ‘Donald Trump could drop a nuke and I’d still vote Republican over Democrat,’ but then Tells Trump to ‘Shut Up’

A strange hill to die on, but sure, it’s not exactly that surprising for Megyn Kelly, who defended Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual crimes. Though things quickly escalated over the last 72 hours, the comments that she made can’t be taken back and should be look at intently. That isn’t the type of thing that should be said by people in positions of power or influence.
These comments were made live on-air on her show, The Megyn Kelly Show, on April 6. She went on to say that Democrats want to “nuke our own country,” further highlighting the growing divide within politics and the inability for any one party to successfully get along with the other.
“They would do it all, if put back in power,” she said of the Democrats.
One user commented, “Kelly has always been a grifter and push propaganda. To say the president can drop a ‘nuke’ and still vote for him or GOP tells you all you need to know about her and her character.”
“Genuine question… Are you aware of the global effects of a nuclear bomb?” asked another.
“And this is why Republican voters are stupid. You have absolutely no moral compass you just know you don’t like democrats,” commented one, making perhaps the most important point.
But wait, there’s more, and it gets messier
However, recently she has turned on Trump, attacking his handling of the conflict in the Middle East via his social media posts.
“What led Trump, at 79 years old, to sit in there, in that situation room, where Bibi Netanyahu was seated as an equal?” she said in an interview with Piers Morgan on Wednesday in direct contrast to her April 6 comments. “What led him to sit there and buy what that guy was selling hook, line, and sinker when every other president was able to see through that liar? I don’t know why he was too weak to say no…he was too gullible to see through the lies. One way or another, he allowed himself to be pushed into this insane conflict.”
Regarding his Easter Sunday threat and varying social media activity, Kelly also said in a shocking moment of clarity, “I am sick of this s***. Can’t Trump just behave like a normal human? Shut up. We are talking about threatening to wipe out innocent civilians casually in a social media post. This is completely irresponsible and disgusting.”
There is an important distinction to be made about these comments, and that is that Kelly calls them a “negotiation tactic,” when Trump’s statements are the farthest thing from being anything other than a fascist leader hungry for power.
“This is wrong. It’s wrong. He should not be doing it. I don’t care that it’s…his negotiation tactic is to kill an entire country full of civilians—men, women, and children—an American president, so that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened? It’s just wrong,” she told listeners on her podcast.
“He can’t be a dignified, strong leader without threatening a bunch of war crimes?” Kelly added.
I’m not sure, Kelly. Maybe you tell us?
