Marvel Is Giving Us Serialized Books for Thor, Black Panther, Black Widow, and More!
It seems as if Marvel knows we want all the content we can get because now, working with Serial Box, we’re going to get weekly audiobook/digital book “episodes” based on Thor, Black Panther, Black Widow, and more!
While Thor’s book will contain Loki, my favorite comes with the knowledge that the Black Widow book will feature the Winter Soldier. Whether that means that Natasha Romanoff and Bucky Barnes will square off while he’s still part of Hydra or after he escapes their grasp, we’ll have to see, but I’m in either way.
It’s exciting because the series is meant to serve as an accessible first foray for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the world of Marvel comics, with the book versions based on their comics counterparts rather than the movies.
While we don’t know too much about the Black Widow or Black Panther series, we do know a lot about who is heading the Thor story. Alex de Campi announced on Instagram that she would be editing/showrunning the Thor project!

The line of @marvel serialized novels I’m editing / showrunning for @serialboxpub has finally been announced! The four books are: Thor, Black Widow, Black Panther, and Jessica Jones. Thor launches this summer. . The books are intended to be an easy and exciting first step for movie fans into the Marvel comics universe. . I can’t wait to tell you about the writing teams I’ve assembled — you’ll scream! — but right now I can only tell you about the Thor one. The room is led by MANDY co-writer and old pal @somebadideas and staffed by horror maestro @brian_keene, sci-fi genius Yoon-Ha Lee and gentleman & (Marvel) scholar Jay Edidin.
de Campi is teaming up with Aaaron Stewart-Ahn, Brian Keene, Jay Edidin, and Yoon Ha Lee to help bring Thor and Loki’s story to life.
So I’m the lead writer on a @Marvel THOR project for @serialboxpub
And I’ve got the incredible @BrianKeene @NotLasers & @motomaratai with me and @alexdecampi as our fearless editor.

All of this news about the Thor series is exciting, and I can’t wait to hear about the rest of Marvel’s plans. But, there still needs to be a showrunner for the Black Widow series, right? Would they like me to step up to the plate? I can do it.
