Fans Are Setting Marvel Scenes to ABBA Songs, and It Is Perfect

Why hasn't there been a fight scene in the MCU set to "When I Kissed The Teacher"?

Marvel fans are some of the most creative people out there. With their artwork and their cosplay, the MCU dominates in regards to fan interaction and creation, so is it really surprising that their meme game is usually on point? The latest meme to sweep the internet comes from our love of both ABBA and some of our favorite heroes.

Starting with the discovery of a video of the iconic fight scene from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, fans have started to mash up some of their favorite scenes with a variety of ABBA songs.

The start of the series comes from this video, where Bucky Barnes is fighting against Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, and Sam Wilson, but what if that scene were just him strutting around with a gun to “Lay All Your Love On Me”?

If that didn’t quench your ABBA/MCU thirst, you can also watch Thor descend into battle with “Dancing Queen” backing his every move.

Not a fan of “Dancing Queen”? Don’t worry, they also set that same scene to “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” in this Crack!Vid for Thor: Ragnarok (starting at 1:25).

You know, Avengers: Infinity War was a little too sad for us all. We had to watch our favorite characters die, and we couldn’t do anything to stop it. So what if, as our favorite heroes ran to fight against Thanos and his crew, they had “Dancing Queen” playing to urge them on?

Personally, I love this meme for a very selfish reason: I love both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and ABBA. So when I first saw the Winter Soldier video, I had hope that others would join in. My prayers were answered. So, of course, I had to put in my own take on the meme. Lo and behold my favorite ABBA song mixed with my favorite movie from the MCU:

There are plenty of variations still out there to be made! You could do “When I Kissed The Teacher” to Bruce Banner and Tony Stark being science bros, or you can have “One of Us” set to Peter Parker longing after Liz throughout all of Spider-Man: Homecoming. The entirety of ABBA’s collection, as well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is your oyster and I can’t wait to see what other ABBA videos come to be.
