MAHA celebrates Walmart’s dye ban thanks to Trump sympathizer, Secretary RFK Jr
The MAHA (yes, you read that right) movement, also known as the Make America Healthy Again movement, is celebrating a significant victory that it has been striving for since its inception.
In a major announcement on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Walmart revealed that it will stop the use of all synthetic dyes in its U.S. private-label foods by January 27, 2027. This decision has come after repeated pressure from Donald Trump and his administration for the retail corporation to comply with their demands. Secretary of Health and Human Services, RFK Jr. had a huge role to play in the decision, as he was the one leading the movement from the front, ensuring ultimate compliance.
With artificial dyes out of the picture, Walmart will now resort to using natural dyes found in fruits, vegetables, flowers, and other naturally occurring edible items. According to a company spokesperson, beetroot, black carrots, turmeric, spinach, and hibiscus will be used as colouring agents. That said, the person mentioned that it would be difficult for them to find natural replacements for the colours blue and green.
After the news of Walmart’s step became public, the MAHAs took to their social media platforms to express their views on the matter. A few of them took to X (previously Twitter). One user wrote:
“I mean this is a big win for Maha. This is going to be very interesting with customers at Walmart.”
Another person pointed out how they were already noticing changes in Walmart’s food items, noting that they saw a strawberry syrup that was lighter in colour than it used to be. They said:
“I was in Walmart yesterday and noticed their strawberry syrup is a light pink color instead of vibrant red. Not that I buy walmart products, but I did see it. Thank you RFK Jr.”
It is rather strange that the person is already noticing changes in the food items, given that the circular was made public only this Wednesday, and implementation wouldn’t be complete until 2027.
