A woman from LA had a frightening experience with Taco Bell, and she wants everyone to know about it. On January 15, 2024, TikTok user @theneelajolenee posted a video revealing that she found a screw in her Taco Bell meal. She also said that when she confronted the staff, her concerns were not taken seriously, and she felt they downplayed her suffering by offering little or no help.
Neela Jolene was on her way home when she craved some Taco Bell. She picked up a bowl from there and started mixing everything together when she suddenly noticed a metal object sticking out of her meal. Upon closer inspection, she realised it was a screw. She then explained that she could have just removed the screw and continued eating, but she chose to confront the Taco Bell employees about her discovery.

Discussing the event in her TikTok video, Neela said, “I am not trying to be a Karen, but this is a big deal. I walked in and said, hey, we have a problem. ” She then revealed that she had opened the box, taken out the screw, shown it to those present, and said she had found it in her meal. After that, the employees discussed among themselves, but Neela couldn’t understand them because they were speaking in Spanish.
Neela then revealed that the employees apologised to her and inquired about her next course of action. They asked if she wanted them to remake her meal, but she said she had lost her appetite and didn’t want any more food, so they gave her a refund for the amount she paid. Additionally, they also gave her a ten-dollar gift card. Concluding the video, Neela said she could “literally sue” Taco Bell for putting her through such an ordeal and found it amusing that she was offered a ten-dollar gift card, saying, “Do you think my life is worth ten dollars, Taco Bell?”
