Knights of Badassdom Might Just Be A LARP Movie Worth Watching

Making a movie about roleplaying games is a tricky task, where you have to balance presenting the game in a manner that is recognizable and true to source… without requiring your audience to actually know, intimately, how to play the game. I mean, I don’t understand how anyone could not like tabletop roleplaying, but apparently they exist. So far, the best treatment of the genre I’ve seen is the D&D episode of Community.

Which is interesting, because Danny Pudi is also in Knights of Badassdom, a movie about LARPers who accidentally summon an OC succubus while IC. So is Peter Dinklage. And Steve Zahn. And Summer Glau.

The only question is: Where is Felicia Day?
