Instead of Bothering Hollywood’s Elite, TMZ Is Doing Something Good For Once

TMZ encourages citizens to take paparazzi photos of Congress members on two-week recess amidst partial government shutdown

Occasionally, TMZ manages to do something good in their sea of otherwise questionable or immoral doings. As TSA workers continue to struggle with bills due to their lack of income, TMZ has a call out to the public: If you see a Congress member vacationing, please take a picture or a video and send it to them.

They posted the call to arms on X, asking readers to take action so they can be “properly” put on blast.

Rebecca Wolf is the TSA agent featured in the video. She told “TMZ Live” that she’s losing everything over the shutdown, and that her last paycheck was February 28th. The total of that paycheck? $13 and some change.

Honestly? Probably the most metal thing they’ve ever done. And it is absolutely justifiable. As a member of Congress, you’re supposed to help out your constituents, not go on vacation while thousands are struggling to even receive a paycheck for work that they’re doing.

True to their word, TMZ posted photos of California Congressman Robert Garcia in Las Vegas that were sent in by a reader. Though the reader was shooed away by security, it is important to note that Garcia did not say no to the photos, which shows a staggering lack of self-awareness.

Senator Lindsay Graham was also spotted pathetically meandering around Disney World, despite saying he was in Florida on business. The photos sent to TMZ from another reader showcased Graham in the “Tangled” area of Magic Kingdom on Friday night carrying a bubble wand that an eyewitness unfortunately confirms was for the child he was with.

More photos were taken over the weekend of Graham dining at Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort. Now, unless he was staying in the resort for his business purposes, I don’t believe he was there on business at all.

Sometimes pettiness is the best revenge

TMZ also reported that Senator Marsha Blackburn “hid behind her escort” when she flew out Thursday evening, and Senate Leader John Thune was spotted leaving Friday morning.

Now, I’m sure you asking why Republicans have only been featured so far. That’s because they are the only ones who’ve decided to take a quick vacation! Senator Bernie Sanders was seen flying first class out of Reagan National airport on Friday, but that was to speak at the No Kings rally in St. Paul. Perhaps it could still be considered given the first class of it all, but he wasn’t in Vegas or in Disney World, so I don’t think the comparison holds.

If you see any politicians having a good time while others are decidedly not, please send your pictures or videos to TMZ.
