Influencer goes to Ulta to return hair oil. Then he checks the receipt and realizes why the employee can’t find any record: ‘Don’t call the police’

Accidental accident

In a TikTok video, Trévon (trevonwoodburyy) said he wanted to return a bottle of hair oil he’d bought at Ulta after picking up the wrong one. Sounds easy, right? Not really, because life had other plans.

Trévon said an employee scanned the item and asked whether it had been more than 60 days since he bought it, since that would make the product unreturnable. He said he mistakenly said it had been that long, but then corrected himself, saying it had been three days, and also offered to show the receipt.

Trévon said that the employee then reviewed the records again and found no data of the hair oil purchase. At that point, Trévon opened the receipt he had received by email and realized the product had not been scanned, meaning he had not been charged for it. Trévon recalled his conversation with the employee after the realization set in: “I was like, ‘Babe, this means I stole.’ And we both started laughing, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I stole from Ulta. I’m an honest thief. Cause I brought it back, and I didn’t even use it.’”

He also recalled urging the employee not to take action against him. “You can keep it. You can keep it. I don’t want it.’ And now I’m scared. ‘Don’t call the police,’” he apparently said in his defense.

“It is still free money”

Eventually, Trévon returned the oil without facing any consequences for the accidental theft. Still, despite that outcome, he expressed some dissatisfaction near the end of his video. He went to Ulta expecting to get his money back so he could make other purchases, but that was no longer possible. “Bi***. I should have just kept the f****** oil. I’m mad,” Trévon expressed. A few people in the comments on his video focused on this aspect and shared their views.

One person said, “it is still free money because you thought you already spent it so you should.” Another wrote, “Technically that’s money you were planning on spending on the oil, but didn’t so you still have that money to spend when you think about it.”

Some people, on the other hand, focused on how he looked and said which celebrity they thought he resembled. One person mentioned, “it’s like Joseph Quinn and Justin Timberlake had a baby and it was you… but also i locked in for the story.” Another wrote, “I thought this was Justin Timberlake.”

One user, on the other hand, made an interesting observation about one of Trévon’s videos that was related to this incident. They wrote, “I just watched your haul video. You got the oil from Sephora.” Turns out, they were correct. Trévon acknowledged this in a video he made right after this one. Then, in another video, he went to Ulta again, asked for the product, and got it without any difficulty.
