In case you were sleeping, Bernie Sanders wants you to know Trump’s wealth tripled to a jaw-dropping $6 billion

United States Senator Bernie Sanders has never been shy about criticising Donald Trump; in fact, he is one of his most vocal critics. He is once again doing what he excels at, this time calling out Trump’s privilege and his lack of concern for the struggles of those who do not share the same wealth he has as the president and a billionaire businessman.
On December 28, 2025, Bernie Sanders shared some insightful thoughts about Donald Trump in a post on X (formerly Twitter). On Sunday, he posted an image from Forbes that illustrated a graph showing Trump’s wealth had increased by 273 per cent from 2020 to 2025, stating:
“Donald Trump’s wealth has nearly TRIPLED since he became president, driven largely by crypto ventures fueled by foreign governments. We need a president who works to improve life for the millions who can’t afford food, housing or health care, not one who enriches himself.”Bernie Sanders claims Trump ‘tripled’ his wealth while Americans struggled to make ends meet
This is not the first time Bernie Sanders has raised concerns about wealth being concentrated in the hands of a few. As a fervent advocate for anti-corruption and equitable wealth distribution, he aims to ensure that the basic needs of all individuals are met. Sanders has found common ground with New York mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, whom he endorsed during the recent mayoral election and supported in various initiatives, including the Starbucks protests, where workers protested against labour law violations, better pay, work hours, and improved working conditions.
Nonetheless, following Bernie Sanders’ post questioning Donald Trump’s wealth increase, many people had a lot to say. While most agreed with Sanders on his corruption claims regarding Trump and acknowledged that necessary measures should be taken to improve conditions for Americans, a few opposed him and instead expressed their support for Trump. Many people asked Grok to analyse the wealth that former President Barack Obama had accumulated during his presidency and the wealth Bernie Sanders himself had gathered since becoming a Senator. As Grok provided the answers, showing that both Sanders’ and Obama’s wealth had also increased considerably since they began working for the government, people started to raise alarms, suggesting the possibility of foul play. At the same time, they justified Trump’s wealth increase, arguing that since others in positions of power have also seen their wealth grow over time, it indicates that Trump’s wealth was not necessarily gained through unfair means. Yes, they are that delusional in their love for the dictator- in- chief. It’s absolutely unbelievable but also very real.
