I, Tonya Teaser Is Out and The Truth Is Bullsh*t

Recommended Videos

From the moment it was announced there was going to be a Tonya Harding movie, I was ready for it, but I’ll admit when Margot Robbie was announced to play the role, I was skeptical. Not because she isn’t a great actress: Robbie has proven herself to be the highlight of most projects, but part of what made Tonya Harding act how she did, was that Harding did not fit the mold appearance wise of who ice-skating wanted to represent them. Yet seeing Robbie make that intense smile as she nails the triple axel won me over.

For those of you who don’t know, Tonya Harding was the first female ice skater to land a triple axel in competition, but her legacy has been mostly overshadowed by her role in the assault on a fellow skater, Nancy Kerrigan. Starring Sebastian Stan as her ex-husband Jeff Gillooly and Allison Janney as her mother, LaVona Golden, I, Tonya looks like it is going to be quite a ride.

Will you be checking out the film when it drops, December 8th this year?
