Woman stands by husband through his 15 years in prison, then his alleged prison ‘girlfriend’ shows up on his release day

The release-day reunion had an unexpected guest.

A woman says she waited 15 years for her husband to get out of prison, only to find that another man was apparently waiting for him on release day, too. According to her account, the unexpected visitor was her husband’s alleged “girlfriend” from behind bars.

TikToker @psaalms11 shared the experience in a series of videos, explaining that she had been with her husband for about three years before he was incarcerated. She continued supporting him throughout his sentence, sending money, writing letters, and sharing family photographs.

The letters started arriving years before his release

Around seven years into his incarceration, the woman said she began sending intimate photographs after initially refusing because prison staff could inspect his mail. She also started receiving letters from unfamiliar prisoners, some of whom appeared to know her husband personally. When she asked how they obtained her contact information, her husband allegedly claimed someone might have taken it from his table.

One letter came from an inmate who appeared interested in pursuing her romantically. He also claimed her husband had a girlfriend in prison, leaving her confused about how that relationship could have developed.

Eventually, the correspondence led her to believe her husband was involved with another man. The wife confronted him about what she had learned, but said she didn’t hold the alleged relationship against him.

Unexpected revelations have complicated other marriages, too. One woman received a call from county jail that exposed her husband’s alleged infidelity. In another situation, the cheating was reportedly revealed through a wallet left behind rather than via mysterious  letters.

His alleged boyfriend or girlfriend showed up on release day

When her husband’s 15-year sentence ended, the TikToker went to pick him up from prison. According to her, another man arrived as well and waited in the parking lot.

She recounted that her husband eventually emerged, and the couple hugged and kissed before heading toward her car. However, as she was fastening her seatbelt, the other man approached her husband.

The two reportedly exchanged words before getting into a fight. She said she stayed in the car while they confronted each other, and her husband eventually left with her. In a separate video, she explained that the man who showed up was the same person her husband had allegedly been involved with during his incarceration.

“I guess he thought they was gonna be together,” she said, adding that her husband chose to leave with her instead. Her husband later denied that the relationship involved intercourse and offered an explanation for why he had referred to the other man as his “prison girlfriend.”  While the husband denied being gay or bisexual, she said she could not say whether he had continued seeing men after leaving prison.

The woman accepted his explanation and remained with him. However, in a follow-up reel, she described a change in his behavior within a year of his release, including staying out and becoming increasingly irritable.

Her account has drawn laughter from some viewers, but she stressed that the situation was deeply personal. “It might be funny to you, but it’s not really funny to me because this is my life,” she said.
