Houston woman plans her friend’s birthday party. Then she got jumped and ditched by her friend’s company
All this chaos for $30.
Yasmine (@yasdabrat) from Houston, Texas, planned a birthday trip for her friend, Anna. Instead of enjoying the trip with her friend, Yasmine said that her friend’s group jumped her. They allegedly betrayed her and continued with the trip without her.
“Her birthday was September 21st, and we’ve been planning this birthday stuff for the past five weeks,” Yasmine told TikTok. Her friend made a group chat of invitees. Yasmine said she was planning the activities, restaurants, and dress code.
“Mind you, I’m talking to her the whole time,” Yasmine added. She claimed she coordinated actively with Anna, from the activities to the finances. While they both live in Houston, Yasmine said the others who were invited did not. They booked a party bus, a yacht, and an Airbnb. She added that they also planned to go to the club. Yasmine said everyone pitched in $250 for the expenses.
Yasmine isn’t eager to hang out with a friend group, but she went along with the large group to support Anna. Yasmine suggested that the invitees send $25 a week to make payments easier. Eventually, Anna asked Yasmine to remind her cousins and other friends to send the money. Yasmine commented, “That just shows y’all, people will really use you to do the s*** they don’t want to do.”
The day of the trip came, and they started partying in the party bus. Yasmine said they had a lot of liquor, but as the host of the event, she didn’t want to get wasted. Eventually, Anna and a couple of friends left the party bus, leaving Yasmine and three other people.
“Somebody stink, do you all smell that?” one of Anna’s friends, Ariel, commented. Yasmine said she didn’t smell anything strange. Eventually, Anna came back, and they went to the store for food.
A small argument made her ditch the party
On their way back to the Airbnb, Yasmine alleged that Ariel expressed that she no longer wanted to go to the club because she “don’t like mess.” Additionally, Ariel started asking for her money back. Yasmine claimed Anna didn’t say anything, even though Yasmine was trying to de-escalate the situation.
“You’re here to celebrate your friend,” Yasmine allegedly reminded Ariel. However, Ariel allegedly said she didn’t care and just wanted her $30 back. Yasmine tried to keep reasoning with Ariel, telling her she shouldn’t ask for a refund because the money had already been allocated for the clubbing.
But she alleged Anna’s other cousins also sided with Ariel, telling Yasmine she was “tripping” for refusing to do the refund. They allegedly told Yasmine that she shouldn’t have said anything to Ariel since it had nothing to do with her. Yasmine replied, “It got everything to do with me because I’m the one who planned the trip.” Yasmine also said she was the one who collected their payments because Anna didn’t want to do it herself.
At this point, Yasmine alleged that everyone else started talking about her. She claimed Anna failed to defend her as the situation escalated. Yasmine called her boyfriend to pick her up. She went out, waiting for him, when another woman named Deki pulled up. Yasmine said she wasn’t part of the group chat but was also from Louisiana. Anna’s cousins started explaining the situation to Deki, but Yasmine also told her side of the story.
Beaten for $30, and her friend did nothing
Deki allegedly sided with the cousins, and Yasmine said they started getting rowdy. Deki allegedly tried starting a fight with Yasmine, but she didn’t want to.
“I kept trying to tell them the entire time: I’m trying to fight nobody, I’m simply stating what’s right and what’s wrong,” Yasmine said. Deki fell to the ground, and when she got up, she allegedly tried to fight Yasmine again. Yasmine was fighting Deki at this point, but Ariel allegedly jumped in and started throwing hands at her. When they got pulled apart, Anna allegedly told Yasmine to chill, not letting Yasmine retaliate.
At the end of it, Yasmine said she got bruises and a cut lip from the attacks. Despite the altercation, Yasmine said Anna still went partying with the other girls, including the ones who attacked her. Yasmine isn’t the only one who fell out with her longtime friend. Another woman from California almost went on Judge Judy because of her friend’s alleged scam.
