‘Help me see My Baby’: Woman discovers her husband’s alleged affair. Then the police took her away in handcuffs
Going through a separation is difficult enough. However, one woman claims that returning to her own home led to a confrontation that left her injured and behind bars.
Her experience raises questions about how police respond to domestic violence. She claims she reported being hurt but ended up getting arrested herself.
TikTok user Anna Grace (@anna_grace_643) shared her story in a video with 719.2K views. On March 13, 2026, she went to her marital home to collect her piano, wedding ring, and other belongings. She claims her husband threatened to call the police if she came over, even though they were still legally married and planned to sell the house.
She had no idea what was coming
Grace had been living separately from her husband for approximately two weeks. Upon arriving at the house, she noticed an unfamiliar car in the driveway. Her husband allegedly blocked her vehicle and later told responding officers that she had attempted to run him over. Grace denied the accusation and insisted that she had a right to be on the property.
Her husband then allegedly showed officers text messages discussing her postpartum depression. Grace acknowledged that she was still experiencing troubling thoughts but maintained that she would never act on them. Officers took her to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation, where she claims a doctor released her without admitting her.
Her mother picked her up, but her car remained at the house. Despite her father’s warning not to return, she went back to retrieve it. Upon arriving, she discovered that her husband had allegedly locked her out of her vehicle. She then spotted his female best friend inside the house, holding their five-month-old son, Nolan.
Grace suspected that her husband was having an affair with the woman. She knocked on the doors and windows, but nobody let her inside. According to her account, the woman retreated to a bedroom with the baby and shut the door. Grace eventually broke a window to enter the house, retrieve her keys, and pick up her child.
Her husband allegedly returned shortly afterward and attempted to pull Nolan from her arms. Grace claims she repeatedly asked him to stop because their baby was crying. She eventually handed Nolan to her mother and instructed her to lock herself inside the car.
The confrontation then allegedly turned violent. Grace claims her husband grabbed her from behind and shoved her to the ground, knocking her unconscious. She reported suffering a minor concussion, a sprained wrist, and a knee injury that required seven stitches.
Despite her visible injuries, Grace alleges that responding officers dismissed her account. Her husband had called the police again, reporting that she had broken into the house. She claims an officer told her she probably deserved her injuries because she had been instructed not to return.
Grace was subsequently arrested and taken to jail. She alleges that officers returned Nolan to her husband while she was being taken away. Her account also highlights the complications that can arise during divorce and custody disputes.
Her ordeal allegedly continued in custody. Grace claims she suffered a seizure and was transported to a hospital, where doctors treated her knee injury. After returning to jail, she developed a serious infection that she attributes to inadequate medical care. Her father eventually bailed her out after four nights.
Grace also alleges that her husband prevented her from seeing Nolan for seven weeks following her release. Addressing the aftermath in her TikTok caption, she wrote, “It’s crazy how so many ppl believed him that I wasn’t stable to see my baby. He strategically got me to look crazy. After he did something wrong.”
She added, “I patiently waited for the judicial injustice system to help me see my baby again. But they failed me in so many ways. Including not punishing my husband when they found him.”
Viewers expressed outrage over her account. One commenter urged, “Get an attorney, sue both your ex and the PD.” Another asked, “Did u sue?? What happened in court??”
Grace maintains that she still faces a charge stemming from the incident. However, the allegations against her husband and the responding officers have not been independently verified. The precise charge and the outcome of her custody proceedings also remain unconfirmed.
