Guardians Of the Galaxy Set to Team Up With The Avengers For the First Time on Disney XD

We know that the Guardians of the Galaxy are set to appear in Avengers: Infinity War, but if you can’t wait that long to see your two favorite superhero teams in action together, they’ll be joining forces first on Disney XD.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is gearing up for its second season premiere next month, during which the Avengers will be making their appearance in a special one-hour block of two back-to-back episodes. Check out a glimpse of their first meeting above!

The first episode in the premiere block is called “Stayin’ Alive,” following the Guardians as they try to dispose of Thanos’ asteroid, which has been taken to a facility that belongs to the Avengers. In the second episode, “Evolution Rock,” the Guardians and the Avengers have to work together to discover the secrets of the asteroid.

To kick off the second season, however, Disney XD is releasing a series of shorts on their YouTube channel (as well as VOD and the Disney XD app) starting Monday that will follow the Guardians as they get stuck on Earth. Check out this clip from the first short from USA Today:

So, the series of Guardians shorts start Monday the 24th, and an all-new season of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy comes to Disney XD on March 11th at 9PM ET/PT. And of course, we’re all excited for the next live-action outing for Guardians of the Galaxy when Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5th.
