Screen Junkies is back with another honest trailer, and this one is about the musical, action-packed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Now, I didn’t mind that a lot of what we loved about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 were also things we loved in Guardians of the Galaxy, from character personality clashes, to certain running jokes, to nostalgic musical cues, but wow, does this honest trailer make those connections glaring. There’s also a supercut of characters laughing and, uh, yeah that also does happen a lot doesn’t it?

However, while the trailer calls the film “a laugh out loud, but ultimately kind of forgettable sequel,” it also acknowledges that it’s one of the better second-franchise-installment movies from Marvel, and has lots of praise for Kurt Russell and Michael Rooker for their space dad roles. They also rank Yondu as the most heart-breakingly tragic death, though that’s kind of the case by default unless they somehow resurrect him. Fingers crossed?

The “chosen family” jabs that compare Guardians with Fast and Furious are spot on as well. Do a shot every time someone says family.

What did you think about the Guardians 2 honest trailer?
