GOP lawmaker with the username ‘joebidennnn69’ might confess to sharing child abuse videos

Yet another day, yet another Republican. It seems like members of this party cannot stay away from the limelight when it comes to being accused of committing heinous crimes. This time, the one to fall under the axe is former Member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, RJ May.

The Guardian, in an article on September 27, 2025, reported that May will be entering a guilty plea related to charges of the storage and distribution of child sexual abuse material. The decision from the perpetrator allegedly comes just a few days after the prosecutors emphasised how they would use the evidence they had against him during his hearing.

RJ May is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, September 29, 2025, where he is expected to plead guilty to five charges against him. Once he does that, he could face between five and twenty years for each admission. He would also have to register himself as a sex offender, as is the case when it comes to instances such as this. Additionally, May might have to pay a lump sum amount as a fine, which could go as high as $250,000. The total amount that May would have to pay could go even higher when other fees and expenditures are taken into account.

RJ May was first indicted in the case when authorities received a tip from the messaging app Kik that a person under the screen name joebidennnn69 was exchanging child sexual abuse material through their app. Following this, the account was tracked down to the user who, in this case, is May. Citing that he did not have the videos on his devices, he attempted to refute the allegations. But since it’s rather usual for people to remove contentious content from their systems out of concern that they could be discovered, his allegations were rejected.

With May admitting to his crimes this Monday, one of the many soldiers of the Grand Old Party (GOP), more popularly known as the Republican Party, will be down.
