Rather than perform literally anything else, German orchestra Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld did a cover of Daft Punk’s seminal classic, “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.” I’m not saying this is a bad cover or that the original is a bad song or anything, it’s just … super interesting to see an orchestra take on such a neat challenge.

They performed for Neo Magazin Royale, a German late night talk show. This video’s well worth watching if only because the music group’s other performances for Neo Magazin Royale are so incredibly different. It’s pretty wild watching them go from this kinda folky, somewhat Mumford and Sons-esque ballad …

… to this really earnest hip-hop song.

It takes some pretty serious skill to bounce all over the place like that, and RTO Ehrenfeld seem to have it in spades. I’ve only known about this group and their work for all of an hour now, and I think I’ve already found my favorite song:

So fresh. So funky. So good.
