G.R.L. Singer Lauren Bennett’s Dad Drops Bombshell Accusing NHS of ‘Failing’ Her Five Months Before Her Death
Shocking new information regarding the death of G.R.L singer Lauren Bennett has come to light after her father, Richard Bennett told fans about her final few months. The grieving father shared a touching tribute for his daughter before claiming that the NHS had failed her.
Bennett, 36, was most well known for being a part of the girl group G.R.L, and she also featured on the 2011 LMFAO hit “Party Rock Anthem.” Born in the village of Meopham, England, she moved to LA at the age of 17, to join the band, Paradiso Girls before joining G.R.L.
The band featured on a Pit Bull track and their debut song, “Vacation” featured on the soundtrack for The Smurfs 2. Their most notable song “Ugly Heart” became an international hit. The group broke up in 2015 after the death of band member Simone Battle.
Bennett went on to release the solo hit “Hurricane” in 2016 but her output was sparse from then until her death. Coroner records obtained by the BBC confirmed that she died on May 29 in Meopham although news of her death wasn’t publicly announced until July.
While the cause of the singer’s death has yet to be confirmed, Eonline reports that information shared by her father regarding her treatment by the NHS sheds some light on what her life was like prior to her untimely passing.
Lauren Bennett’s father claims the NHS failed her
In a tribute posted to Instagram by Richard Bennett a day after the news of her death broke he said that “Lauren experienced a severe reaction to a prescribed medication,” months before she passed away. “As a family, we all rallied around her and did everything we could to support her.” The post continued, adding that Bennett’s family has “no suspicions regarding the circumstances of her death.”
Richard claims that “medical professionals and NHS services failed to treat her appropriately during her time of greatest need.” As of writing, there has been no official confirmation of what led to the singer’s death but Richard’s comments seem to suggest that the failure of the doctors and medical team working with Bennett is what led to her passing.
Comments underneath Richard Bennett’s post speculated over the medication that Bennett was on but details have not been confirmed.
Richard ended his tribute with a touching sendoff for his daughter, writing, “Lauren was deeply loved and will be missed every day for the rest of our lives. I hope she will be remembered for her remarkable achievements, her beautiful music, and the incredible person she was.”
Lauren leaves behind a daughter and a legacy of music many will remember fondly.
