Fox News is calling for ‘Melania’ to snag an Oscar nomination. But with its abysmal IMDb score, most viewers seem to think otherwise

Anything is possible if you are confident enough. While that saying might be true, it does not apply everywhere, especially when the people involved are overconfident, as in this case, where a MAGA woman affiliated with FOX News believes the recently released Melania Trump documentary is worthy of an Oscar nomination.
In a not- so- rare occurrence, Fox News is sucking up to Trump like their lives depend on it. In a recently circulating video on social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), featuring Kayleigh McEnany, who serves as the co- host of the show Outnumbered on Fox News and was also the 33 rd White House press secretary during Trump’s first term as the President of the United States from 2020 to 2021, can be seen suggesting that Melania, the documentary film chronicling a few days in the life of the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, is good enough to compete at the Oscars. There is a small catch, though. It is not that good to actually make it to the prestigious award ceremony. In fact, it is one of the worst documentaries ever produced, at least that is what people and critics are saying.
Ahead of the film’s release on Friday, Melania sold exactly 1 ticket at a premiere VUE screen in the United Kingdom, where the film was heavily marketed. In later shows, the numbers were comparatively better, but they were still mostly in single digits, and in cases where they went to double digits, they remained within thirty. In the United States, however, the numbers were better, which is expected because these people do have a lot of followers in the country. That is how Trump became the president, and that is how his whole family stays in power and enjoys the benefits that come with it. However, doing good business in the US could not save the movie from the wrath of audiences and critics who picked it apart on reviewing platforms such as IMDb. On the platform, the film received the honour of being the lowest- rated movie with a 1.3 rating out of 10. On a different reviewing platform, which is also quite popular, called Metacritic, the ratings didn’t look good either. Melania received a Metascore of just 5 out of 100 on the platform based on 15 critic reviews and a user score of 1. 1.4 out of 10 from viewers.
