Footage reveals pure chaos as camel rips through a couple’s vehicle after they made one huge mistake
A wild time was had.

A TikTok video has gone viral, showing an “adventuring” couple’s drive-through safari experience going completely sideways when a camel decided their car was an all-you-can-eat buffet of carrots. The footage, posted by TikToker @whatsssophfunny, serves as a hilarious yet cautionary tale about why you should probably keep your windows rolled up when you are driving among huge, hungry animals.
According to BroBible, it all started when the man in the car, captured from the passenger seat, rolled down his window. You can hear him in a high, sing-songy voice, saying, “Hey, hey, c’mere,” coaxing a dromedary over to their vehicle. The camel, a big fan of snacks, happily complied, eagerly taking a treat from his hand. That’s when things took a turn. Realizing there was more where that came from, the camel decided to stick its entire head through the open window.
What started as shouts of initial delight from the couple quickly turned into concern. Camels are seriously massive animals who are surprisingly pushy when food is involved. The animal had clearly realized there was an entire supply of carrots sitting on the passenger seat, and it wasn’t about to leave empty-hoofed. The TikToker can be heard shrieking as the camel stubbornly refuses to exit the vehicle.
This couple got the entire wildlife safari experience, and then some
According to the caption, that “greedy a— camel” ended up eating all the food they had in the car. It was completely unfazed by their shouting. At one point, the camel was even seen licking the center console, then it made a move for the TikToker’s iPhone. Luckily, she managed to yank it back before it got completely slobbered on.
Just when you thought the things couldn’t get any wilder, a buffalo calmly popped up on the passenger side, nosing the window like it was asking, “Where’s my snack?” The buffalo’s timing is nothing if not excellent, adding to the absurdity of the already chaotic situation.
With 1.5 million views and counting, it’s no surprise that the internet is absolutely loving this video. As one TikToker, @mackie.tone, perfectly put it, “This is only funny cause it’s not me.” Another viewer, @nellietho, pointed out the obvious, wondering, “Why he mad like it wasn’t his idea?” The driver clearly invited the camel in! The buffalo, too, has garnered its own little fan club, with many viewers commenting on its unexpected cameo.
While this couple’s adventure was certainly memorable for all the wrong reasons, it’s a wild reminder that even in seemingly controlled environments like a drive-through safari, nature can definitely throw you a curveball. Safari aficionado Amanda Williams often points out that no two animal drives are ever the same.
If you are planning your own up-close animal encounter, Williams suggests starting early since most animals are active at dawn and dusk. You will also want to wear comfortable, sun-protective clothing and dress in layers. And definitely pack a good zoom lens, because as this video proves, sometimes it helps to keep a little distance!
