Behold: Fíli and Kíli of The Hobbits

There And Back Again

Fans of the BBC’s Being Human, you may now direct your ire at the character who took John Mitchell, your teetotaler vampire from you.

Fíli (left, played by Dean O’Gorman) and Kíli (right, played by Aidan Turner) are the youngest of Thorin and Co., and this is why, we assume, they’re wearing what humans, like Aragorn, would call manly stubble but that dwarves would call peachfuzz, instead of real beards.

Hopefully you’re not getting tired of dwarves, because we’re still only about halfway through, seven have been revealed, with five more presumably to be released in three more installments. Doubtless Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur will get their own turn in the portrait booth, as will Dwalin and Balin. The question is, will Doc, er, I mean Thorin Oakenshield go it solo, or get to pair up with Gandalf or Bilbo?

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
