That’s No Cantina, That’s Coachella: Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes Reunited in Video

Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes at Coachella
Recommended Videos

It’s dusty, it’s dirty, they play music you might not understand, and it’s full of folks who are just trying to have a good time despite the terrible dust storms that come rolling through every so often. No, I’m not talking about Mos Eisley or Tatooine. I’m talking about Coachella, the yearly music festival that takes place out in Indio, CA every year. According to this Nerdist Humor video, that particular hive of scum and villainy happens to be where none other than Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes chose to reunite after their bitter, jealousy-fueled breakup so many years ago. You know the one.

This video’s got it all, really: D’an as a real Steven Tyler-type, the Modal Nodes as his long-suffering band, and a full-on Behind the Music-style intro. I won’t go into what the in-universe Behind the Music show is titled, because, well, jokes. And reasons. But you’ll know what I mean when you see it. Oh, what’s more, this video’s also got interviews with actual Coachella-types, like dudes talking about babes and women talking about the great vibes. The video’s worth a watch, even if you haven’t been to Coachella, if only for the fact that I think they actually recorded (or perhaps borrowed) some video from actual Coachella attendees, including someone literally yelling about Figrin D’an and the Modal freakin’ Nodes… bro.
