Fashion Week Got You a Selfie Sombrero and a Shrek Sweater, You’re Welcome

Ach!

Story time! Every December my mom puts up blank Christmas lists so we can all fill them out with what we want that year, and every year my brother used to put “the ability to see my forehead” on his list as a joke. One time I got him a baseball cap with a small handheld mirror attached to the brim so he could do just that. Basically what I’m trying to get at is that I’m obviously a fashion pioneer, and if I’d only thought to use a glitter-covered sombrero instead, I would have invented this selfie hat.

In actuality the hat comes from tech company Acer, who worked with designer Christian Cowan-Sanluis for London Fashion week this year. It’s actually a variant on an already existing hat that Cowan-Sanluis once designed for Lady Gaga, but with an attachment for a tablet. There’s also a non-wearable case for the same table that you can actually buy, but the hat itself will not be available—it’s just going to appear on the red carpet. But hey, you can always just attach your phone to a baseball cap! Take it from me, it works wonders.

But what if hats aren’t your thing? Maybe you’d like a nice comfy pullover instead.

The good news is that if you’re the one swearing the sweater from Jeremy Scott‘s Shrek collection, you won’t have to look deep into its haunted knit eyes. Also, you’ll get to dress in layers, like an onion! It’s a win win. Well, except for everyone else, I guess.
