‘Explains why he needed that MRI’: Donald Trump confuses Joe Biden with George W. Bush, says the former was never a pilot

Currently, Donald Trump seems to be going through a phase of serious intellectual challenges. On several occasions recently, the President of the United States has behaved in ways that have raised eyebrows, indicating a potential cognitive decline.

After challenging House Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats to take cognitive tests at least twice in the last few months, Trump is now revealing signs that may justify the need for those tests. Recently, while addressing a group of people, likely military personnel, Trump claimed that Joe Biden had once said he was a pilot and that he was lying about it. However, in reality, Biden has never claimed to be a pilot, as he has never worked in that profession.

After Trump’s comments about Biden became public, social media users quickly connected the dots and realised that Trump was confusing Joe Biden with George W. Bush, who indeed was a pilot.

One individual on X (formerly Twitter), in the comments of a video where Donald Trump made these inaccurate claims, stated:

“So that explains why he needed that MRI

Another person commented:

“Trump just confused Biden with Bush on a basic biographical fact in front of the entire world. This isn’t a “misspeak” it’s forgetting who did what while reading from a teleprompter. Cognitive red flags aren’t opinions, they’re observable patterns on stage, in public, and under pressure. Every fact he gets wrong is a reminder that millions of decisions are being entrusted to someone who can’t reliably keep reality straight.”

Before anyone claims that people on Twitter are overreacting to Donald Trump’s comments, it’s important to note that this is the same person who recently took a cognitive test at Walter Reed. Although he didn’t specify the exact name of the test, he described one that closely resembles a screening for cognitive disabilities or early-onset dementia. Additionally, Trump mentioned undergoing an MRI examination in a previous press conference. This is who is responsible for the American citizens.
