EXCLUSIVE: See Kerry Washington be a badass in new images from ‘Shadow Force’
Love hurts. Literally in Kerry Washington’s new film Shadow Force and we here at the Mary Sue are excited to debut exclusive images from the new action film from Lionsgate!
Shadow Force puts Kyrah (Washington) and her estranged partner Isaac (Omar Sy) in the fight for their lives against their former employer, the Shadow Force. Their old boss (played by Mark Strong) reminds them of the rules of the Shadow Force (that being that you never leave) and in order to protect their son, the two must fight other ops.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows: “An estranged couple with a bounty on their heads must go on the run with their son to avoid their former employer, a unit of shadow ops that has been sent to kill them.”
Who doesn’t love a love story in the midst of an action movie? And it is made even better by having Washington front and center, being a badass to protect her family. The exclusive new pictures for the film show Washington with a gun, standing on a beautiful beach. Which does set the scene for the entire movie, which was filmed in Bogotá, Colombia.
One thing is clear about every new look we get of Shadow Force: I wouldn’t want to mess with Kerry Washington. Another exclusive image from the film shows her and Strong fighting with each other and it does look like he is 100% losing that fight…
It’s nice to see Washington joining a long line of women kicking ass in cinema. We know her for her work on shows like Scandal but to see her take to an action role so well is amazing. And if I could look that cool with a gun and high heeled boots? Game over.
