There’s been a steady trickle of promotional images for Fantastic Beasts coming out recently, and I suppose today will be no different. Here, you can check out Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander in that quintessential Hobbit-esque “I’m off on an adventure!” pose. Except this time he’s, you know, in a big city and not, say, Hobbiton. Or even England for that matter–this adventure takes place in New York, after all.
We could try to mine this image to hell and back (What’s that paper in his hand say? Why is everyone wearing blue? Who are those people wearing purple? There’s snow on the ground–is Christmas coming soon? I like Christmas!), but… yeah, let’s not do that. Let’s just enjoy the fact that we get to play in the Harry Potter world for a little while longer.
