Driver Warns Woman About Caleb From Austin, Texas, and His Insidious Plans: ‘You’re Not Getting Your Wallet Back. I’m Throwing It in the Trash.’

Driver on TikTok exposes woman's boyfriend from Austin, Texas, who has a diabolican plan

Moving in is one of the biggest decisions anyone could make in a relationship. It’s a litmus test for trust, so what happens when one half of the couple is planning an unprecedented move without telling the other? Shawn (@shawntv96), a driver from Texas, exposed a man named Caleb from Austin, Texas, and his devious plans on TikTok.

As is the case with all TikTok videos that include a storytime, we’re taking Shawn’s word for it. Caleb could very easily have a change of heart, a different side to the story, etc etc. So take this story with a grain of salt. “If you just graduated from UT and your boyfriend’s name is Caleb, I have his wallet… And a message for you,” Shawn told TikTok. The video has reached hundreds of thousands of people, which hopefully includes the unnamed girlfriend Shawn is trying to get to.

“Hypothetically, you need to call the apartment that you two just leased together, and you need to find a way to get your name off that lease,” Shawn warned. Then, he revealed, “He’s planning on breaking that lease without telling you and moving to another city because he got an internship that he didn’t want to tell you about.”

Even without going further, it’s evident that this Caleb does not respect his girlfriend. But Shawn goes further, and what he says confirms how this man truly feels about the woman he’s supposedly moving in with.

What happens when one person breaks a joint lease?

“He doesn’t want to hear you—his words, not mine—’b****, moan, and complain’ about it because apparently, you both had some plan for the last year to stay here in Austin, but he has decided to change that after you signed your long lease together,” Shawn said.

According to Shawn, Caleb intends to move cities because he was given an internship opportunity that he couldn’t turn down.

Changing plans is just part of life. Even if they’d been meticulously planning their move, their early 20s are all about exploration. Anything can happen, but that’s not the point. Caleb clearly has no regard for what his girlfriend has to say. He merely reduced his girlfriend’s possible complaint as trivial when, in reality, she has every right to have a conversation with him about his long-term plans—plans that apparently don’t involve her.

What makes this situation so insidious is that if Caleb decides to leave her with a long-term lease, she might have to shoulder the rest of the rent on her own. If Caleb breaks the joint lease, it’s a conversation that has to occur between himself and the landlord. Whatever intention he had to skirt the conversation won’t be successful, since the landlord still reserves the right to enforce the contract Caleb co-signed.

TikTok is on the hunt for Caleb

But Shawn said that Caleb has already made his mind up. He doesn’t care for what his girlfriend has to say on the matter. Just when Shawn thought that the situation couldn’t get any worse, Caleb’s friend chimed in and called the woman “a little ball-busting b****.” Instead of defending his girlfriend, Caleb said, “Yeah, I know she is.”

Caleb proceeded to rant about his girlfriend dyeing her hair from blonde to brown, making a comment on how she was much “sexier” in her old hair color. Shawn, who was clearly exasperated with these men, said that he hoped the woman would never go blonde again. If it’s what it takes to repel Caleb, it’s one of the best choices she can make.

This woman needs no enemies when she has a boyfriend that reportedly talks down on her this way. But he seemingly hates his girlfriend if he let his friend call her something so vile behind her back. A man who respects his significant other would never let anyone else talk poorly of her. It’s unfortunate that someone is dating this Caleb from Austin.

Another Uber driver horror story

“Anyway, girl, congratulations on graduating. I hope nothing but the best for you. I’m manifesting success and amazingness for you,” Shawn said of the woman. Wherever she is, hopefully, the message will reach her.

“Now, as for Caleb,” Shawn shook his head. “You’re not getting your wallet back. I’m throwing it in the trash.” He also hoped that Caleb would lose the job he’s moving cities for.

One commenter threatened to post the TikTok on the UT Austin subreddit, but no updates have been made so far. Uber and other cab drivers seem to experience the worst of humanity, and the best Shawn could do is throw that man’s wallet out and let TikTok do the rest.
