Donald Trump proudly claims he received an bribes from Iran — because nothing screams sellout quite like bragging about a payoff

Appearing before the press for a conference on Tuesday, Donald Trump said that tensions between the United States and Iran were easing following intensive negotiations. As a result, Trump noted that Americans could look forward to a ceasefire deal between the two countries. The news came just a day after Trump announced through Truth Social that he was asking the Department of Defense to postpone “any and all military strikes” against “Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure” for five days as discussions between Iran and the US proceed.
Having said that, people on the internet might have figured out why exactly Donald Trump had a change of heart regarding Iran. In a video currently going viral on X (formerly Twitter), Trump, during the same press conference, can be seen claiming that he received a valuable gift from Iran. While he did not explicitly say that this gift was the reason for his change in attitude towards Iran, he did mention that the gesture made him believe he was dealing with the “right kind” of people.
Trump boasts about receiving a “prize” from Iran
During Tuesday’s press conference, Donald Trump discussed receiving a “present” from Iran that they had promised to deliver. Trump stated that the present was very large and was “worth a tremendous amount of money.” He also said he would not reveal the details of the gift, but people should know that it was “significant.”
As mentioned earlier, Trump refused to disclose the details of the “prize” he received from Iran. However, when a reporter later asked whether the present was nuclear-related, he replied in the negative, and said that it was oil- and gas-related. Hmm. No one could have guessed that.
Karoline Leavitt refutes the rumors of Iran refusing a settlement
Leavitt was asked by a reporter to comment on the authenticity of the rumor that Iran had rejected the US’s 15-point plan to end the war and that negotiations between the US and Iran had reached a dead end. Leavitt said that the information was just hearsay and was untrue. She clarified that conversations between Iran and the US are still ongoing and urged news outlets not to focus on false information circulating online. She also stressed that the documents that were floating on the internet had “elements of truth” to them, but the stories she read were not “entirely factual.”
