Donald Trump dropped some secrets at the N.C. rally that no one wanted or needed to hear

United States President Donald Trump is not a big believer in keeping things to himself, unless he’s committed a crime, and he revealed that side of himself at a recent event.

On Friday, December 19, Trump appeared at a rally in Rocky Mount, N.C., where he promised those gathered before him that he would make certain positive changes to the American economy ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. Among the issues he emphasised were inflation and escalating drug prices, which he said he would address. He also made several other promises, and only time will tell whether he will follow through on them. My bet is on no. Nevertheless, one striking aspect Trump discussed at length during the rally was the 2022 FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, and, weirdly enough, “panties.” While recalling how the raid had embarrassed him and his wife, Melania, Trump provided extensive details about how it all unfolded, stating that federal agents had searched through Melania’s drawers, including those where she kept her undergarments. He described Melania as a “meticulous” person, saying, “Her undergarments, sometimes referred to as panties, are folded perfectly, wrapped. They’re just so perfect.” While discussing her undergarments, Trump used the word “perfect” a few more times and noted that being organised was part of Melania’s world, “where she came from.” He then remarked that he thinks Melania steams her undergarments, saying, “I think that she steams them,” before adding that he wasn’t home when the FBI raided their property and that he returned to a “mess” with things “all over the place.” He concluded his remarks about Melania’s intimate wear by stating that the “thugs” who raided their house and those responsible for the raids should not be allowed to escape the repercussions of humiliating one of the most “popular” presidents of all time. The end of his speech drew loud cheers and applause from the audience, who clearly shared the same mindset as their dictator-in-chief.

While those gathered in the crowd had no problem with Donald Trump discussing his wife, Melania Trump’s undergarments, people on the internet, after Trump’s video of him uttering these words, started to do the rounds, were grossed out and rightfully so. How does the President of a First World country just go on stage and discuss his wife’s intimate wear in front of thousands of people? People on social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) called Trump “weird,” “not normal,” and “embarrassing,” terms that have long been associated with him.
