Donald Trump does a cheap emulation of Joe Biden’s cough as the audience turns speechless

Besides being bad at being a president, there are also other things that Donald Trump is terrible at. This includes mimicry, giving nicknames, and, honestly, simply talking and existing, although he would like to think that he excels in all of them.
In a video that is currently going viral on social media platforms, particularly X (formerly Twitter), Trump can be seen doing a cheap imitation of Joe Biden’s way of speaking, especially when he is giving a speech. Highlighting how he usually coughs before starting his speech, Trump attempts to emulate the act by making weird sounds, giving off putting expressions, and twisting and turning his body in a caricaturish manner for more effect, which, if you ask me, does not even come close to what Biden does when he is speaking in front of people. Maybe that is why the audience, which usually reacts to Trump’s antics with forced laughter, turned silent when he was doing this.
Having said that, while his impersonation of Biden is completely incorrect, I cannot help but note how insensitive it is for Trump to do something like this, especially since Biden is known to have been suffering from severe health complications during the time that he was president of the United States.
In May 2025, it was revealed that Joe Biden was diagnosed with Stage IV prostate cancer that had reached his bones. In September 2025, it was further revealed that Biden had undergone surgery to remove skin cancer abrasions from his forehead. Considering all of this and the fact that his cancer had reached such an aggressive state, it is almost a given that he was suffering from the effects of the disease for a long time, which means that the coughing before speech, or his trying to clear his throat, or even his having trouble speaking, are due to his illness. Therefore, Trump making fun of Biden like that makes him look like an indifferent and inconsiderate buffoon.
People on the internet also largely agree with this notion, with some people saying that Trump is an unkind person. One individual under the comments section of one such video highlights that they believe that a “good” president should first be a “decent” person and “good” politician, hinting that Trump is neither of them. They said:
Another individual poked fun at Trump’s bad mimicry and compared his antics to those of their cat when they play with a hairball. They said:
Several others echoed similar sentiments of condemnation against Trump.
