You may already know that Donald Glover took a bit of a break from his Childish Gambino music project to go back to his acting and showrunning roots. He put all his time into developing Atlanta, a brand new original series which was picked up by FX a while back. Now, you can check out a preview of his brand new series in this video, which includes a quick interview with Glover and the cast.

Some background: Atlanta is a series centered on the large, thriving rap scene in and around the city. It’s supposed to be a bit of a departure from his normally overtly comedic work on 30 Rock and Community, and if these sneak peeks are anything to go by, then this departure might end up being a very much welcomed one. I’m a bit of a Glover fangirl, I suppose, but I’m excited to see what’s good with this show.

Tell us: what do you think? Will you be tuning in for Atlanta?
