Nerdy engagement photos are not a new phenomena. We’ve seen everything from Game of Thrones to Star Wars. This isn’t even the first set of Doctor Who engagement photos we’ve seen. But these are most certainly the cutest! TJ Mundell and Timmy Patterson are a Dallas couple who had the idea to incorporate their favorite show into their engagement photos. Photographer Shaun Menary was given the opportunity to photograph the two posing around their custom-made TARDIS as the ninth and tenth doctors. Menary admitted that it was one of the more unique shoots he’s ever done:
This is the most over the top that I’ve done. A lot of my clients want to do unique stuff. A while ago I did a bridal shoot that was ‘Alice and Wonderland’ themed. I did another shoot that was ‘Mad Men.’
They even managed to convert him to the Whovian fandom! The couple admitted that there are going to be other Doctor Who elements to the wedding itself: “We designed one of our cakes to be completely ‘Doctor Who’-themed; it’s half a Dalek and half a Tardis.”
I’m pretty sure it will be a while before we see any other crazy engagement shoots to top these. They’re just too stinking cute!
