‘There was a bucket of KFC fried chicken’: Woman visits Disney in Orlando, Florida. Then her husband ‘bows up’ another adult over a stroller

A woman went to Disney World with her family for brunch. Then her husband tried to start a physical altercation in Tomorrowland because another group apparently stole their stroller.
TikToker Brooke Cantrell, a stay-at-home mom and veteran, described a situation where her partner dumped another guest’s bucket of KFC chicken on the ground in the Magic Kingdom. Prior to the ‘chicken incident,’ she and her husband noticed they were missing a stroller. Her husband found the stroller with a number of other guests’ items on it in another area.
The incident escalated, as her husband confronted, cursed at, and threw items toward the supposed guest who took their stroller. That led her husband to nearly pelt a woman and child who were sitting nearby.
Cantrell described the situation with shock; she seemingly hadn’t fully processed the encounter herself. The post garnered 1.5 million views within the span of four days. Cantrell asked those watching if they could share the TikTok so that she could “find a copy of the video,” and understand more about the situation with hindsight.
Cantrell’s Disney experience goes awry
Cantrell and her family went on a small Disney trip to meet up with friends. They had plans to have brunch at Magic Kingdom and spend the day there. Then, they were going to hang out by the pool at a Disney-affiliated hotel.
Before they started eating, though, the Cantrell family went to get two rental strollers, which cost around $45 together. The strollers included tags with their names on them, which made it easy to identify them if they were left behind.
They parked their strollers for brunch, and everything seemed fine. When they came back to get them, though, they noticed that one of the rentals was missing. At first, they thought a Disney worker had moved it, so they looked around the stroller park for it. Cantrell gave it up to bad luck and moved on. She wanted to go to Tomorrowland to get some coffee and intended to leave the park afterward. Later, the family ran into a Stitch character meet-and-greet, a character that one of Cantrell’s children adored. As they interacted with the costumed character, her husband walked off without explanation.
When he came back, he had a stroller “piled high” with another family’s belongings. Cantrell’s husband then explained that the stroller he brought back was their original rental and implied that other guests had taken it. Then, Cantrell noticed her husband rifling through the other guests’ belongings.
“ My husband, he starts going through their personal bags that were on the stroller, and I said, ‘What are you doing?’ He goes, ‘Well, um, they are gonna pay me for my time and inconvenience,’” Cantrell explained.
She explained they were not going to steal the other guests’ items. So, they started walking back to where they found the stroller, with the intention of leaving the guests’ items in a pile nearby. At that time, she estimated that there were “hundreds” of people in the surrounding area, as they were near a popular ride. She had no idea how they were going to find them.
That’s when her husband grabbed a bucket of KFC chicken that was attached to the stroller.
An inexplicable bag of KFC chicken leads to the ‘chicken incident’
Cantrell had noticed the other family had a bucket of KFC chicken, which was inside a plastic bag. She was curious how the other family even managed to get the bucket inside the park, as she had never seen a KFC Chicken in Disney World.
Her husband, though, did not raise the same questions. Instead of keeping the bucket for the other guests, he dumped it out all over the ground. The action technically helped them identify who most likely owned the items in their stroller. Unfortunately, though, the incident led to an immediate confrontation.
“ I just knew it wasn’t gonna be good,” Cantrell said. “The guy immediately [said], ‘Hey, hey, hey, hey.’ And my husband [said], ‘[expletive] you, [expletive] you, [expletive] you, [expletive]…’ Screaming at this guy. ‘You know what you [expletive] did.’
The man who approached her husband asked if he could have his stuff back at some point during the screaming match. That’s when her husband started to physically throw all of the man’s items out of the cart “as hard as he could.” An item landed in a planter near a woman who had an infant in her lap. She was “pi–ed” about nearly getting hit with another guest’s belongings. Cantrell’s husband was repeating the phrases “[expletive] you” and “step up” throughout the encounter. At some point, he started walking away from the situation while still screaming back at the guest.
Cantrell said that at that point, she was in shock. When Cantrell snapped out of her hesitation, she apologized on her husband’s behalf to the woman near the planter and walked away.
Later, she caught up with her husband and let him know that he “embarrassed the [expletive] out of us.” Her husband gave her and the children an apology, telling them that he shouldn’t have done that in front of them. Cantrell said nothing, as she did not want to escalate the situation further.

The couple discuss the ‘chicken incident’ afterward
Later in the evening, Cantrell and her husband went to meet up with their friends. That’s when he started describing the ‘chicken incident’ to their mutual group and laughing about it.
Cantrell described exactly how her husband framed the incident, saying, “My husband proceeds to say in front of me and the other wife, my friend, ‘You know, women just need to let the men handle situations like this because when you guys try to help in any way, it just makes things so much worse.’”
She let her husband know she “didn’t say anything” about the whole incident, but she was fuming. She didn’t know how her husband didn’t get kicked out of Tomorrowland. Later, she started questioning whether she was overreacting.
“ I- Maybe I am overreacting, maybe it wasn’t that bad, I don’t know,” Cantrell said. “But he acts like this. Is the reaction of all men… Is this normal?”
She asked for the video, both as a means of having it and checking to see how the incident occurred, so that she could know whether or not she was being unreasonable.
Commenters add their insights
After Cantrell’s initial post went viral, a swarm of commenters let her know her husband took the situation way too far. Viewers told her that it was “divorce-worthy behavior,” especially considering how hostile he was in a public space.
Later, Cantrell wondered whether she should take down the video, considering how popular it got. She posted her experience so that people could help her find the video and give some insight. She wasn’t trying to make her situation worse by posting.
Commenters told her that the video she posted was a record of how she felt in the moment and what happened in her eyes. To them, there was value in the insights that viewers provided. They advised that unless a lawyer or individual specifically told her to take the video down, she shouldn’t. All the while, Cantrell continued to look for an original clip of the incident.
“Have you tried reaching out to the Disney park and requesting the [original] video? Leave [the TikTok] up. Get some support. Stay safe,” one commenter said on Cantrell’s update.
In later updates, Cantrell let her audience know that she is not divorcing her partner. She did, however, say that her TikTok provided her insight and a realization that other relationships don’t look like hers. She mentioned that there’s a lot that goes on behind closed doors that her audience doesn’t know. Others with similar circumstances had reached out to her, though, which seemingly had a meaningful impact on her life and situation.
The Mary Sue reached out to Cantrell and Disney via email for more information about this incident.
