In yet another heartbreaking development, Debbie Reynolds, Hollywood legend and mother of Carrie Fisher, passed away yesterday, just one day after her daughter. It’s a surreal way for the last week of this year to pass, compounded by the close relationship between the two, Reynolds’ last words as told by her son, and the fact that there was already a documentary about their bond headed to HBO.

Then, there’s this video of Fisher paying tribute to her mother for her Lifetime Achievement Award at the SAG awards, from just last year. Go ahead and give it a watch as you try to process this monumental loss.
