Daily Wire Mouthpiece Continues to Use Racism to Push Disgusting Views on Immigrants

The Daily Wire’s racism continues uninhibited after the latest post from Matt Walsh. His tweets are trying to chime-in on a local news story down in Texas.
Travis County saw four classmates allegedly kidnap a mutual acquaintance and hold him at gunpoint. The teenagers in question allegedly wanted to intimidate their former schoolmate after a dispute over a girlfriend. While heartbreaking on its own, Walsh saw the opportunity to question the boys’ immigration status in the United States.
Walsh typed, “Ah yes, “Texas teens” named Jose Rojas-Alvarado, Oscar Armando Santiago-Martinez, Angel Lemus-Perez, and Carlos Roberto Oliva-Villeda. Good old American names. Texans through and through.”
The racism really goes out of its way to jump at you. Because these 4 teenagers attend a school near Austin, they immediately become part of some imagined “immigrant crime network” instead of just teens making a dumb decision. (And, let’s be clear the judgement on display with these young guys is leaving a ton to be desired.)
CBS Austin reports that the victim said the suspects in this case were threatening to kill him if he went to the police. The teenagers allegedly beat this kid and held against his will for talking to one of their girlfriends’. It’s messy and kind of dumb, which is par for the course when you get teenagers with a lot to prove in their heads together. No one is saying this wasn’t absolutely bone-headed. But, the racism on display? Just par for the course when it comes to Walsh and anything he sees the opportunity to score cheap points off of.
Matt Walsh and Racism

We have to remember, this is a man who produced a movie called Am I Racist? not too long ago. Much like most of the modern conservative movement, The Daily Wire and its contributors have a preoccupation with the idea of race in America. More broadly, they have a preoccupation with proving that the real racists are people who point out harmful interactions and the way systems shape the way we live. This is basic Sociology 101 stuff. But, tons of their viewers and listeners want to be comforted in the idea that they’re not “bad people.”
Any axe that they can grind to sharpen the idea of immigrants being harmful to society, racist stereotypes being “upheld” by singular events, or throwing a rock and hiding their hands is seized upon by these opportunists. It’s not hyperbole to think that there’s someone on staff, probably an editor, who has the distinction of finding th
His film’s synopsis reads: “Daily Wire host and filmmaker Matt Walsh transforms himself into a certified diversity, equity, and inclusion expert, only to uncover a world where profit, not principle, drives the agenda.”
Racism is just part of the grift
Hysterically, you could argue the same about how The Daily Wire does business. Moving on though, The reason that Walsh posts as much as he does. And, paying attention to where he decides to point his accusations, it’s easy to see a pattern evolve. Controversy drives viewership, which drives money, which drives Production value, which drives influence, which lends access to real actionable power in certain ways.
In this way, these young kids down in Texas are just collateral damage to help keep the lights on at The Daily Wire. Or to pay the hospital bills for the folks that fell through that window while filming that Jonathan Majors movie that they’re handling. (Dear god what a mess that’s becoming down there in South Carolina.) Still, people can only stop these kinds of attacks by not consuming the content, unfortunately.
