Tracey is Back to Her Hilariously Awkward Self in Chewing Gum Season 2 Trailer

Recommended Videos

Chewing Gum is back for a second season (yay!) and it’s got the trailer to prove it.  After moving out of her strict mother’s house and breaking up with Ronnie, Tracey Gordon has apparently found a new home and, allegedly, a new man. Season one focused on the 24-year-old virgin’s quest to have sex and learn more about the world around her, which resulted in some pretty amusing mishaps. It also earned her a BAFTA for Best Female Performance in a Comedy and you can watch Michaela Coel’s (who created, stars in and writes the show) inspiring acceptance speech here.

She also opened up about her intent in creating a series that focused on a group of people we haven’t quite seen before in British television. “I know that when I wrote it I wanted people to watch that world,” she told Digital Spy before adding, “and it’s a world they might not necessarily be familiar with…I wanted them to be attracted to the people. There’s been a lot of stuff on TV set on estates and I felt a little bit repelled.”

The new season is set to premiere in the U.K. this week on E4, but there is currently no release date for the U.S. Season one is now available to stream on Netflix and I highly suggest you get to it.
