Black woman orders 12 Buffalo and sweet-chili wings. South Carolina restaurant humiliates her for refusing to finish and calls cops: ‘Called thugs’
Some meals leave a taste that has nothing to do with the food...

Mario’s Pizzeria serves pizza, wings, salads, and other casual restaurant food. But a recent order of buffalo and sweet chili wings has put the restaurant in the spotlight for a very different reason.
TikTok user Miyah Miyah (@miyahmiyahbraidsllc) claims she and her girlfriend visited Mario’s Pizzeria for the first time. They ordered six buffalo wings, six sweet chili wings, and a salad with cheddar cheese. When cheddar was unavailable, Miyah declined another cheese and asked to remove the salad.
Then the wings arrived. Miyah claims they were unusually large and mushy, so the women did not want to eat them. They offered to return the untouched wings and pay for their drinks, but the disagreement quickly escalated, with police becoming part of the dispute. Miyah’s TikTok about the encounter has reached 3.5 million views.
Then came a claim that made no sense to her
In the video, an employee tells the women they still have to pay because they ordered the food and the restaurant made it for them. Miyah argues that they were not trying to get anything for free. They simply did not want the wings because they were unhappy with them.
The employee then gives them two options. “You can pay for your food and leave, or we will call the police,” she tells them. Miyah immediately responds, “Call them now,” and agrees to wait for officers to arrive.
Things become more heated when an employee claims Miyah has caused problems at the restaurant before. “Every time you come in, it’s the same thing,” he tells her. Miyah disputes that immediately, explaining that she had never been to the restaurant before.
That accusation became a major part of Miyah’s complaint after the encounter. In her post, she alleges that she and her girlfriend were called “thugs,” accused of being thieves, and racially profiled. She maintains that they were willing to pay for everything they actually consumed.
Miyah also claims other customers began recording the pair during the confrontation, making her feel as though they were being treated like they had committed a crime. She described the experience as humiliating and argued that employees could have tried to resolve the food complaint before threatening to involve police.
Miyah also argues that they remained calm while trying to explain why they did not want the wings. But the confrontation eventually turns into profanity, with one employee telling them to “get the f*** out” and repeatedly warning them never to return.
Complaints over food can already become uncomfortable when a customer feels the response has crossed into something more personal. Viewers were especially troubled by the suggestion that Miyah had supposedly done this before when she claims it was her first visit.
“When they say every time YOU come in, they’re speaking on BLACK PEOPLE as a whole… not an individual,” one viewer commented.
Another wrote, “‘Thug’…. It’s giving racial profiling,” while someone else argued, “They love weaponizing the police.” A different commenter focused on Miyah’s reaction throughout the argument, writing, “They can’t handle how calm she is!!”
Others focused more on the restaurant dispute itself. “Yall saying yall can’t send food back once you order … YES YOU CAN!” one person wrote. Another commenter argued, “If your restaurant is that desperate over one order, you are failing pretty bad.”
Miyah says the issue was never about getting a free meal. As a salon owner for seven years, she wrote that she understands businesses sometimes deal with unhappy customers and product loss. But she argues that a complaint over food should not have turned into accusations, insults, and a threat to involve police.
