Disney announced today that Ryan Coogler’s highly-anticipated Black Panther has begun production, and revealed the full cast in a press release.

In the release, Disney confirms that Martin Freeman will be returning as Everett K. Ross, along with Andy Serkis as Klaw, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, John Kani as King T’Chaka, Letita Wright in an unknown role, Winston Duke as M’Baku, and Sterling K. Brown as N’Jobu.

We’ve known that Black Panther has an amazing and diverse cast, with previously announced cast members including royalty like Angela Bassett and Lupita Nyong’o and stars like Forest Whitaker, Daniel Kaluuya, Danai Gurira, Michael B. Jordan, and, of course, Chadwick Boseman who stole the show in Civil War as T’Challa. It feels like every time we get news about Black Panther, it just looks better and better.

Disney also provided a new plot synopsis that promises some major internal struggle for T’Challa:

Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

The film is set for release February 16th, 2018. Are you excited?
