Assassination Nation, which was been described as “The Crucible for the Snapchat generation,” is a gearing up to be one of our most-anticipated upcoming films.

The social satire stars Odessa Young, Hari Nef, Abra, and Suki Waterhouse as four teenage girls in a conservative town who become the object of unwanted media attention after “an anonymous hacker” leaks their personal information. It was announced today that Anika Noni Rose will play the mother of Abra and Waterhouse’s characters. No word on whether or not we’ll hear her Tony-award winning singing.

Producers Anita Gou and Matthew Malek have spoken about their diverse casting team, praising the project’s “bold depiction of teenagers, not as vapid or distracted but rather engaged and determined to navigate the complexities of this new world. It tackles issues of shaming, mob mentality, vigilantism, and righteousness.”

I’m pretty excited for Assassination Nation, how about you?
