A mother's love

A Sephora employee is sharing the story of a customer she met at work who visited the store and bought the same lipstick every week for a month.
On July 3, 2026, TikTok user @alyrosemakeup uploaded a video to her profile in which she talked about meeting a customer at the Sephora store where she works. Aly hinted that the customer wasn’t like her usual clients and mentioned that when he first came in, he asked for a Gucci Velvet Matte lipstick in the shade of Goldie Red. She continued her story, saying that the same guy kept coming back every week asking for the same lipstick in the same shade. Finally, she revealed that, out of curiosity about his repeated visits, she asked him why he kept buying the same lipstick, to which he told her that they were for his mother, who had alzheimer’s.
TikTok user @alyrosemakeup shares a heartfelt customer encounter
As previously mentioned, on July 3, 2026, TikTok user @alyrosemakeup uploaded a video to her account in which she talked about a customer who visited the Sephora store she worked at to buy a specific product every week.
Aly said that this person, a man, came for the first time to her store looking for a Gucci Velvet Matte Lipstick in the shade Goldie Red. She then shared that she saw him return the next week, again looking for the same lipstick in the same shade, and again the following week, and the week after that, always seeking the same item. Aly mentioned that she eventually asked him why he was buying the same product every week for nearly a month, and he explained that it was for his mother, who had Alzheimer’s and was in assisted living.
The man supposedly said that his mother’s forgetfulness, caused by her condition, led her to misplace or lose the lipstick very often. For that reason, he apparently visits the store every Friday to get her favorite lipstick, the Gucci Velvet Matte Lipstick in Goldie Red. Aly’s video ends with her re-enacting a call she made to her manager, mentioning an idea about a “more than well-deserving customer.”
In a separate video, Aly explained the story behind the previous clip. She said that the next time the man came to buy the lipstick, she gave him a care package for his mother that included three tubes of Gucci Velvet Matte Lipstick in Goldie Red, along with skincare, makeup, and a makeup bag so she could keep everything organized. She also shared that when he tried to pay, she told him everything was on the house, which made him very happy and grateful.
