Tom Holland and Zendaya Are Fan Favorites. And Now They’re the First Spidey and MJ to Get Married!
After nearly a decade, Tom Holland and Zendaya are finally married. It looks like there’s at least one universe where Peter Parker and MJ are happy.
During the 2026 Actor Awards, celebrity stylist Law Roach was asked by Access Hollywood if the two are already married. “The wedding has already happened. You missed it,” Roach confirmed, leaving the reporter stunned. “Is that true?” And Roach went on to say “It’s very true.”
Nobody saw this coming—and Zendaya’s fans have even been poking fun at her upcoming movie with Robert Pattinson, The Drama. One fan says on Instagram, “Batman stole Spidey’s girl.” If only the internet knew.
The couple’s engagement happened sometime in January 2025, after Zendaya was spotted wearing a diamond ring during the Golden Globes. One year later, Zendaya swapped it out for a simpler gold band.
A history of tragic Spidey ships
Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, who were cast in Spider-Man in the 2000s, also briefly dated but stayed friends. Their movie counterparts, on the other hand, faced a tumultuous relationship that ended in reconciliation, but only after the nth kidnapping.
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone also dated from 2011 to 2015, during their run in The Amazing Spider-Man. While the pair had an amicable split, the characters they portrayed on screen had a memorably brutal ending, with Gwen Stacy falling from a height and Peter Parker catching her just a second late. Emma Stone was not MJ, but nobody could forget her tragic ending.
Neither Tom nor Zendaya has spoken up about Roach’s announcement. But if true, the pair would be the first Spidey and MJ to be married in real life. In the MCU’s Spider-Man, MJ would be one of the people snapped out of existence by Thanos. Although she was able to return, her memories of Parker had been wiped out. Even if their on-screen characters have been torn apart by the plot, at least that’s not the case in real life.
