Alright what is a steak nugget and why do I kind of want to try it?
The company that has the catchphrase “We have the meats” has now given consumers their latest meat based product: Steak nuggets. And…well, they are basically what I thought they’d be.
Arby’s is the kind of restaurant that I always would go to if there were no other options. My “Fine, I’ll get curly fries” choice. Now, the restaurant has changed throughout the years. When I was a kid, you could only get roast beef sandwiches and I was not too keen on that as a fast food option. Throughout the years, they’ve added a more diverse slate of options, including chicken tenders. Now, we have their latest addition: Steak nuggets.
From what I can tell, the nuggets look like steak you’ve put on a skewer for like a shish kabob but hey, maybe that’s just me. But the idea is really simple: They’re nuggets that are steak. The do come in other options like a sandwich and a bowl. Which I am curious how these nuggets would work on a sandwich or if it is just a steak sandwich situation.
According to All Recipes, there are ways in which you can get the nuggets. “The Steak Nuggets entrée is available in a five- or nine-count with a side of Hickory BBQ sauce for dipping. The Steak Nugget Sandwich features the Steak Nuggets, Havarti cheese, crispy onions, tangy pickles, and mayo (which changed from the tested Horsey Sauce) on a bun. Arby’s Steak Nugget Bowl starts with a bed of creamy white cheddar Mac ‘n Cheese topped with the Steak Nuggets and crispy onions.”
Their review for them is promising but it really is hilarious that a restaurant like Arby’s just goes “why not” 90% of the time and it works out for them. Even funnier when you remember that, as I said, this started as a roast beef sandwich fast food chain.
So if you were wondering why steak nuggets are the talk of the town, it is because Arby’s decided that they needed to have more of the meats.
