Angela Byron Will Make Linux History

Sock It To 'Em Ada

While we don’t have as many opportunities to get excited about who’s on magazine covers as our sister site Styleite, we can’t pass up this opportunity:

Angela Byron will grace the cover of Linux Journal‘s April issue, making her the first woman (and the first lesbian) to make the cover of the sixteen-year-old tech magazine. Her cover story will be about Drupal 7, the latest edition of the open-source content management system used by, to name just a few sites, whitehouse.gov, london.gov.uk, and economist.com to facilitate the management of one website by multiple people.

Byron serves on the Drupal Association’s board of directors, is one of the core maintainers of Drupal, and spends her time, as she says “working with open source and getting new people (especially women) involved.”
